History
My Backyard Design Group was founded by Jacqueline Soto, a Civil Engineer who converted the garage of her property into a Junior Accessory Dwelling Unit (JADU). With her technical experience, she designed the space and pulled the city permits. With the help of a Licensed General Contractor, the construction process was smooth.

Alronil Pacheco
Civil Engineer
Alronil is a civil engineer with over 10 years of construction and design experience, specializing in project management, cost analysis, and budgeting on capital projects up to $200M. He’s supported everything from structural design to procurement for both public agencies and private clients and holds a Master’s in Civil Engineering from San Jose State. Additionally, Alronil is a licensed real estate agent in the state of California. In his free time, he loves practicing martial arts, exploring new places to eat, learning languages (currently learning Spanish and French), and spending time with friends and family.
Jacqueline Soto
Civil Engineer
Jacqueline is a Civil Engineer with an Engineering-in-Training (E.I.T) Certification and is currently pursuing her professional Engineering license in the State of California. She has over 10 years of experience in the construction and civil design industry. Her design experience includes design of wet utilities, stormwater design, coordination with the city for the approval of projects and more. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, exploring National Parks, going for bike rides, running at the beach and spending time with family, friends and her dog Charlie.
Diana Soto
Digital Marketing Strategist
Diana is a digital marketing strategist and founder of Start On Marketing, with experience in social media management, content planning, brand communication, and advertising. She supports My Backyard Design Group by managing the brand’s online presence, developing social media content, website updates, and marketing strategies that help strengthen the brand and connect with clients. She focuses on presenting the company’s services in a clear, professional, and trustworthy way. In her free time, she enjoys exploring digital trends, working on creative projects, spending time with family, and discovering new ideas.
